If I Could Turn Back Time

10/01/12 by

How depressing! Not only is winter well and truly here, but Christmas is over, and so is our favourite TV programme – you guessed it – The X Factor! Putting the talent to one side, the X Factor was our weekly chance to examine the style successes and slight slops of the beautiful celebrities and contestants – boo hoo! We are delighted that Little Mix took the trophy though, they made their mark with their unique styles from the beginning, and we at Bloomsbury are very sure they will continue to do so in their future star studded lives in the spotlight!

Little Mix were introduced as ‘amateurs’ in the style stakes, but professionals in the vocals! Jade (far left) kept the style natural but the colour lightly auburn, Jesy looked as though she had a slight accident when dip dying, Leigh-Anne kept it  frizzy and high, while Perrie kept it cool with sleek, slightly too bleached blonde locks.

As the show progressed, the hair certainly improved!  Lady Gaga is one of the most difficult stars to pay tribute to in terms of style, but when the contestants had the task of honouring Gaga’s music, Little Mix got straight in there with their hair-do’s too. Leigh-Anne donned a more dramatic reddish tint, Perrie kept it sleek to one side, as did Jesy – who had by this point ditched the dip-dye and kept her hair a beautiful golden brown, and Jade kept it simple and straight with a more purple hue. The girls rocked it!

By the quarter finals, the girls had certainly nailed the star-studded style requirements.  Jade kept her length and curls but added a sun-kissed, blonder base, Jade kept her Lady-Gaga inspired purple tiny, Leigh-Anne rocked a hair piece, taking her from friz to fab, while Perrie swept it back, keeping her hair elegant and sophisticated.

We were backing the band from the beginning, and are so pleased they won – keep watching Little Mix, their sound and style will certainly be inspirational!
